As a member of NHS, you’re eligible to apply for an NHS Scholarship. The program is open to all senior members in good standing—meaning you’re maintaining the required GPA for NHS membership, doing your service hours, etc.

 

Get yourself ready to apply for the NHS Scholarship by watching a video, available at www.nhs.us/scholarship.

 

This year, $1 million in scholarship monies will be awarded, disbursed among 400 applicants. One national winner will get a $20,125 scholarship.

 

Applications for the program open November 1. Get ready now to apply. When the program opens, ask your adviser for the link. (Your adviser and your principal will be asked to provide a recommendation and certify your application as part of the application process. A third recommendation—from a faculty member of your choosing—will also be required. So budget time to ensure you meet the February 1, 2017, deadline.)

• The deadline for student applications is Wednesday, February 1, 2017.

• The deadline for adviser and principal recommendations and certifications is Friday, February 10, 2017. One additional faculty recommendation is also required by this date.
